The Bereavement Ministry assists individuals in coping with the death of a loved one and with planning for a funeral. This includes the Resurrection Choir which sings at all funeral services.
The Hispanic Ministry welcomes and evangelizes our immigrants from Hispanic nations by sharing languages, traditions, and cultures. The Hispanics participate in the Liturgical Ministries, the Religious Education Program, the Parish Support Ministries, and the Advisory Committees of the Parish.
MINISTRY TO THE SICK
Specially trained and commissioned individuals take the Eucharist and consolation to the sick and home-bound of the Parish Community. They visit the hospital and neighboring nursing homes.
GIFTED HANDS - PRAYER BLANKET AND SHAWLS MINISTRY
This ministry involves the sewing of lap-size blankets and shawls that are given to many people who are either sick or going through extremely difficult times in their lives. Many caring volunteers commit to prayers for the recipient, as they are fulfilling their part in the construction of the blankets. A Priest blesses these blankets. Every person who receives a prayer blanket is lifted up in prayer. The prayer blanket is a symbol of a community of faith covering the individual who receives it in prayer.
